ABOUT THIS PROJECT
This homeowner provided a specific budget to complete their landscape project within. After starting with a set cost to work with we came up with a design that would meet the square footage needs while making a thicker than usual foundation for the new patio. We did this because of the heavy clay soil conditions. This is likely what caused the old concrete to heave and crack after only a few years on this new home. We thickened up the base and went forward with the patio construction as usual from there.
Our build team installed cobble series Borgert pavers in the ‘north shore’ color for this outdoor retreat. The dark color of these pavers tied in very nice with dark brown mulch while providing contrast against the decorative limestone rock. The surrounding edging provides a nice clean edge between the rock and new sod and provides depth within the landscape. A couple finishing touches included a huge boulder placed for decoration (and a conversation starter) and a natural flagstone to step on in the rock bed.
Element Landscaping offers: retaining walls, patios, stonework and veneer, edging, walkways, decorative rock, mulch bed installation, garden walls and planters, sod, grading – bobcat work, drainage and erosion correction.
