The backyard patio and entertainment area is the main focus here. At 320 square feet this patio has room to grill and also sit and eat. We ran an inlay circle feature with pavers for extra character and to distinguish the cooking area from the dining space. Our customer and design team worked up the contoured look complete with a seat wall to take a load off and pillars to enhance the hardscapes. We added shrubs and perennials, bullet edgers, decorative rock and boulders to the backyard too.
Around the rest of the home we built a couple boulder walls for practicality and aesthetics, added two dozen plants and fixed the drainage issues on both sides of the property where water would pool. The plant list included a variety of seasonal bloomers: hydrangea, dogwood, daylily, astilbe, and ornamental grasses. In the front of the home we placed emphasis on improving curb appeal with this combination of hardscapes and softscapes. The job was finished off with new sod over our work area and access to the backyard.
